In 2024, the national minimum wage in Türkiye remained fixed at €612.6 per month, that is 7,351 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Turkish liras, which is the official currency in Türkiye, we can see that, this year, it was 20,002.5 Turkish liras and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 6,588 Turkish liras per month from the previous year, 49.11%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2023 which was 64.8%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Türkiye is in 42 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 120 of the list.
