Eswatini national debt goes up

In 2017 Eswatini public debt was 1,092 million euros1,234 million dollars, has increased 225275 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 27.63% of Eswatini GDP, a 2.76 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 24.87% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Eswatini debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 407 million euros 559 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 15.68%.

According to the last data point published, Eswatini per capita debt in 2017 was 999 euros1,129 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 798 euros 883 dollars, afterwards rising by 201 euros246 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 400 euros549 dollars .
