In 2017 Swaziland public debt was 1,161 million euros 1,654 million dollars, has increased 253342 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 34.86% of Swaziland GDP, a 5.7 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 29.16% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Swaziland debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 407 million euros 481 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 14.19%.
According to the last data point published, Swaziland per capita debt in 2018 was 1,222 euros1,455 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 1,062 euros 1,200 dollars, afterwards rising by 160 euros255 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 319 euros469 dollars .
The position of Swaziland, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 46 in the list of debt to GDP and 68 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
