In 2017 Comoros public debt was 183 million euros 206 million dollars, has increased 2936 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 31.8% of Comoros GDP, a 4.01 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 27.79% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Comoros debt. It has gone down since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 210 million euros 288 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 61.79%.
According to the last data point published, Comoros per capita debt in 2017 was 225 euros254 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 193 euros 214 dollars, afterwards rising by 32 euros40 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 331 euros453 dollars .
The position of Comoros, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 35 in the list of debt to GDP and 16 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
