In 2016 Colombia public debt was 128,165 million euros 141,866 million dollars, has decreased 4,692 5,539 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 50.66% of Colombia GDP, a 0.09 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 50.57% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Colombia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 46,347 million euros 58,193 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 35.75%.
According to the last data point published, Colombia per capita debt in 2016 was 2,629 euros2,910 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 2,756 euros 3,058 dollars, afterwards dropping by 127 euros 148dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,068 euros1,341 dollars .
The position of Colombia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 94 in the list of debt to GDP and 104 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
