In 2018 Colombia public debt was 146,114 million euros 172,561 million dollars, has increased 9,57918,317 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 52.16% of Colombia GDP, a 2.71 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 49.45% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Colombia debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 53,399 million euros 78,540 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 32.45%.
According to the last data point published, Colombia per capita debt in 2018 was 2,932 euros3,463 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 2,770 euros 3,129 dollars, afterwards rising by 162 euros334 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,201 euros1,767 dollars .
The position of Colombia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 99 in the list of debt to GDP and 105 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
