Mongolia national debt goes up

In 2017 Mongolia public debt was 10,453 million euros11,804 million dollars, has increased 1,6202,030 million since 2016.

This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 102.82% of Mongolia GDP, a 15.19 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 87.63% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Mongolia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 1,116 million euros 1,529 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 36.11%.

According to the last data point published, Mongolia per capita debt in 2017 was 3,289 euros3,714 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 2,831 euros 3,133 dollars, afterwards rising by 458 euros581 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 426 euros584 dollars .

The position of Mongolia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 177 in the list of debt to GDP and 115 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
