In 2016 Moldova public debt was 2,643 million euros 2,925 million dollars, has increased 1913 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 43.18% of Moldova GDP, a 1.65 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 44.83% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Moldova debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 949 million euros 1,192 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 34.98%.
According to the last data point published, Moldova per capita debt in 2016 was 744 euros824 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 739 euros 820 dollars, afterwards rising by 5 euros4 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 265 euros333 dollars .
The position of Moldova, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 80 in the list of debt to GDP and 52 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
