In 2017 Moldova public debt was 2,510 million euros 2,835 million dollars, has increased 182259 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 29.31% of Moldova GDP, a 2.6 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 31.91% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Moldova debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 768 million euros 1,053 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 19.94%.
According to the last data point published, Moldova per capita debt in 2017 was 707 euros799 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 656 euros 726 dollars, afterwards rising by 51 euros73 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 215 euros295 dollars .
The position of Moldova, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 30 in the list of debt to GDP and 47 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
