National debt fell in Greece

In 2015 Greece public debt was 311,729 million euros350,503 million dollars, has decreased 7,90077,689 million since 2014.

This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 176.7% of Greece GDP, a 3.6 percentage point fall from 2014, when it was 180.3% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Greece debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 213,976 million euros 266,346 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 107.4%.

According to the last data point published, Greece per capita debt in 2015 was 28,907 euros32,503 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 29,437 euros 39,436 dollars, afterwards dropping by 530 euros 6,933dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 19,444 euros24,203 dollars .

The position of Greece, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 189 in the list of debt to GDP and 179 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
