In 2018 Greece public debt was 334,573 million euros 395,131 million dollars, has increased 17,08836,468 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 181.1% of Greece GDP, a 4.9 percentage point rise from 2017, when it was 176.2% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Greece debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 264,775 million euros 389,431 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 109.4%.
According to the last data point published, Greece per capita debt in 2018 was 31,149 euros36,787 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 29,558 euros 33,391 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,591 euros3,396 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 23,865 euros35,101 dollars .
The position of Greece, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 185 in the list of debt to GDP and 177 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
