In 2017 Greece public debt was 317,407 million euros 358,575 million dollars, has increased 2,3719,862 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 178.6% of Greece GDP, a 2.2 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 180.8% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Greece debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 239,915 million euros 328,804 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 103.1%.
According to the last data point published, Greece per capita debt in 2017 was 29,476 euros33,299 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 29,256 euros 32,384 dollars, afterwards rising by 220 euros915 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 21,690 euros29,727 dollars .
The position of Greece, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 184 in the list of debt to GDP and 174 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
