In 2017 Armenia public debt was 5,482 million euros6,191 million dollars, has increased 533715 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 53.7% of Armenia GDP, a 1.77 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 51.93% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Armenia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 957 million euros 1,312 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 14.25%.
According to the last data point published, Armenia per capita debt in 2017 was 1,844 euros2,082 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,657 euros 1,834 dollars, afterwards rising by 187 euros248 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 296 euros406 dollars .
The position of Armenia, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 108 in the list of debt to GDP and 87 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
