In 2017 Armenia public debt was 4,934 million euros 5,574 million dollars, has increased 451612 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 48.29% of Armenia GDP, a 1.25 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 47.04% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Armenia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 957 million euros 1,312 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 14.25%.
According to the last data point published, Armenia per capita debt in 2017 was 1,660 euros1,875 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,501 euros 1,662 dollars, afterwards rising by 159 euros213 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 296 euros406 dollars .
The position of Armenia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 83 in the list of debt to GDP and 81 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
