The transparency law of Latvia has been in force since 1998 and with it has earned 71 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Latvia ranks at number 95, de los 128 del RTI Rating. It is one of the countries with legislation less prone to guaranteeing the right to information.
This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
