Spain, among the countries with the highest electricity prices in Europe

The average price of electricity in Spain, in December of 2014, has been 0.2367€ per kilowatt hour. Electricity price has increased € 0.0202 kWh, 9.33% since the previous semester. Meanwhile, the average price of electricity without taxes in Spain in that period was € 0.1861 per kilowatt hour, compared to € 0.1702 kWh in the previous semester. The price of electricity excluding taxes increased by 9.34%.

In the last twelve months the price of electricity in Spain has increased by 4.14%.

The average price of electricity since 2007 reached its maximum, €0.2367kWh, in December of 2014 and its minimum price, €0.1366 kWh, in June of 2008.

Spain is in fourth place on the list of countries with the most expensive electricity in Europe.

The difference between the price of electricity with and without taxes is € 0.0506 tax for each kilowatt hour, thus, 21.38% of what households pay for electricity in Spain.
