Electricity price increases in Spain

The average price of electricity in Spain, in December of 2010, has been 0.1851€ per kilowatt hour. Electricity price has increased € 0.0123 kWh, 7.12% since the previous semester. Meanwhile, the average price of electricity without taxes in Spain in that period was € 0.1492 per kilowatt hour, compared to € 0.1417 kWh in the previous semester. The price of electricity excluding taxes increased by 5.29%.

In the last twelve months the price of electricity in Spain has increased by 8.04%.

The average price of electricity since 2007 reached its maximum, €0.1851kWh, in December of 2010 and its minimum price, €0.1366 kWh, in June of 2008.

The difference between the price of electricity with and without taxes is € 0.0359 tax for each kilowatt hour, thus, 19.39% of what households pay for electricity in Spain.
