In Dominican Republic, CO2 emissions during 2017 have fallen 1.06 megatons, 4.27% compared to 2016.
CO2 emissions in 2017 were 23.736 megatons, making Dominican Republic is the 103th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Dominican Republic, have decreased in 2017, in which they have been 2.2 tons per inhabitant.
Finally, it is interesting to observe the behavior f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Dominican Republic, has emitted 0.13 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2016.
