Buddhism believers fall in Sri Lanka

Buddhism is the Sri Lanka's top religion, around 68.56% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 98.53%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Sri Lanka population, has dropped to 98.53%. As to Buddhism it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 70.45% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 68.56% follow it.

Hindu is the second most practiced religion in Sri Lanka, accounts for about 13% of the population.
