Suicides fell in Trinidad and Tobago

By 2003, suicides in Trinidad and Tobago increased by 13 people to at 150 suicides

In Trinidad and Tobago there were 11.69 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10.69 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 150 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 117 were men suicides and 33 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 17.42 per 100,000 men and for women 4.89 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Trinidad and Tobago. However, in Trinidad and Tobago in 2003 there were there were 229 homicides, then, homicides are more common than suicides. There were 1.5 homicides per suicide.
