Switzerland has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 1,512 recorded suicide cases in 1981, 1,041 were men suicides and 471 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 33.7 per 100,000 men and for women 14.4 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
