Switzerland has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 1,397 recorded suicide cases in 1976, 988 were men suicides and 409 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 32.2 per 100,000 men and for women 12.7 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
