Sweden has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 1,558 recorded suicide cases in 1976, 1,088 were men suicides and 470 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 26.6 per 100,000 men and for women 11.4 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
