In 1975 around 1,366 suicides occurred in Spain, 15 less than in 1974. In 1975, on average 4 Spaniards committed suicide every day.

Spain reported 3.8 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 12.15 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Spain has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 1,366 recorded suicide cases in 1975, 1,011 were men suicides and 355 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 5.8 per 100,000 men and for women 1.9 per 100,000 female.
