South Sudan had 7.31 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.56 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 784 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 559 were men suicides and 225 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.42 per 100,000 men and for women 4.21 per 100,000 female.
Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in South Sudan. However, in South Sudan in 2015 there were there were 1,504 homicides, and therefore, number of deaths by murder is far greater than people to take their own lives. There were 1.9 homicides per suicide.
