Slovenia had 21.08 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 9.51 suicides per 100,000 people.
Slovenia has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 434 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 342 were men suicides and 92 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 33.54 per 100,000 men and for women 8.84 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Slovenia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 20 homicides in Slovenia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 21.7 suicides.
