By 2014, suicides in Paraguay increased by 13 people to at 670 suicides In Paraguay, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

In Paraguay there were 10.06 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.71 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 670 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 462 were men suicides and 208 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 15.08 per 100,000 men and for women 6.86 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Paraguay suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 578 homicides in Paraguay, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.2 suicides.
