Of the 368 recorded suicide cases in 1999, 297 were men suicides and 71 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.8 per 100,000 men and for women 2.3 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Israel suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 137 homicides in Israel, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.7 suicides.
