Hungary is a country with a high rate of suicide.
Of the 1,634 recorded suicide cases in 2017, 1,241 were men suicides and 393 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 26.49 per 100,000 men and for women 7.68 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Hungary suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 160 homicides in Hungary, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 10.2 suicides.
