By 2002, suicides in Guinea increased by 42 people to at 675 suicides In Guinea, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

In Guinea there were 7.46 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.78 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 675 recorded suicide cases in 2002, 461 were men suicides and 213 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.96 per 100,000 men and for women 4.88 per 100,000 female.
