Greece has a low suicide rate

In 1962 occurred 286 suicides in Greece. This year, 78 fewer people committed suicide than in 1961.

Greece had 3.4 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 11.28 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Greece has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 286 recorded suicide cases in 1962, 179 were men suicides and 107 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 4.3 per 100,000 men and for women 2.5 per 100,000 female.
