Denmark has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 1,535 recorded suicide cases in 1981, 982 were men suicides and 553 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 38.9 per 100,000 men and for women 21.3 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
