Of the 1,523 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 1,225 were men suicides and 298 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 23.25 per 100,000 men and for women 5.47 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In the Czech Republic suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 81 homicides in the Czech Republic, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 18.8 suicides.
