There are 4 suicides per day in the Czech Republic

In 2002 occurred 1,534 suicides in the Czech Republic. This year, 89 fewer people committed suicide than in 2001. In 2002, on average 4 Czechs committed suicide every day.

the Czech Republic had 15 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10.78 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 1,534 recorded suicide cases in 2002, 1,216 were men suicides and 318 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 24.5 per 100,000 men and for women 6.1 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In the Czech Republic suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 139 homicides in the Czech Republic, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 11 suicides.
