Chile has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 540 recorded suicide cases in 1980, 460 were men suicides and 80 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.3 per 100,000 men and for women 1.4 per 100,000 female.
