Number of suicides falls in Botswana

In 2014 occurred 220 suicides in Botswana. This year, 2 fewer people committed suicide than in 2013.

Botswana had 10.53 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.71 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 220 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 168 were men suicides and 52 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 15.11 per 100,000 men and for women 4.52 per 100,000 female.
