Suicides decreased in Botswana

In 2003 around 209 suicides occurred in Botswana, 7 less than in 2002.

Botswana reported 12.07 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 10.69 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 209 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 159 were men suicides and 50 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 17.86 per 100,000 men and for women 5.37 per 100,000 female.
