In 2004 around 125 suicides occurred in Armenia, 3 more than in 2003.
Armenia reported 3.88 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.53 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 125 recorded suicide cases in 2004, 97 were men suicides and 27 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 6.28 per 100,000 men and for women 1.64 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Armenia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 83 homicides in Armenia, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.5 suicides.
