Life expectancy of Türkiye goes up to 76 years

In 2009 the life expectancy in Türkiye increased to 76 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 78.8 years and for men 73.3 years.

Türkiye’s position improvened with respect to the 193 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 63th in 2008 to 49th in 2009.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in Türkiye over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2008, when it was 74.45 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 1999, when it was 70.7 years.
