Life expectancy improves in Türkiye

In 2021 the life expectancy in Türkiye increased to 76.03 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 79.12 years and for men 73.04 years.

Türkiye’s position improvened with respect to the 194 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 62th in 2020 to 52th in 2021.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in Türkiye over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2020, when it was 75.85 years, which is the opposite of what happens compared to 2011, when it was 77.1 years.
