The annual variation rate of the CPI in Mexico in May of 1980 was 24.9%, 4 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.6%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 1980 is 13.2%

We must highlight the increase of 2.6% in the prices of Health, until its interannual rate reached 24.9%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Transport of 0.8%, and an interannual variation of 19.5%.
