The annual variation rate of the CPI in Germany in December of 1997 was 2.1%, 1 tenth less than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 1997 is 2.1%

We must highlight the increase of 1.1% in the prices of Recreation and culture, until its interannual rate reached 1.7%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of -0.1%, and an interannual variation of 0.4%.
