April of 2011 CPI went up in El Salvador

The annual variation rate of the CPI in El Salvador in April of 2011 was 6%, 33 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 3%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 4.5%

We must highlight the increase of 14.7% in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, until its interannual rate reached 15.5%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Recreation and culture of -0.3%, and an interannual variation of -2.2%.
