In May, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom grew by 8.15% with respect to May of 2011. In total, 187,999 cars were registered and 2,263,346 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 0.45% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of May is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 25,711, 9.91% more than in May of 2011.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 162,288, which represents a figure of 7.88% more than in May of 2011.
