In November, vehicle registrations in Argentina grew by 17.41% with respect to November of 2008. In total, 41,818 cars were registered and 477,973 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 23.69% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of November is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 10,700, 11.54% more than in November of 2008.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 31,118, which represents a figure of 19.57% more than in November of 2008.

A very useful variable for estimating the level of economic wealth enjoyed by Argentines residents, when compared to the other countries in the ranking, is the number of vehicles sold or registered per thousand residents in the last year. With annual sales of 12.03 cars per 1,000 residents, 1.05 of them in the last month, Argentina, occupies 43th place in the ranking.
As can be seen, the number of registrations per thousand residents has grown in the last year. The increase in this figure is positive, as it generally indicates improved public confidence in the country's economy.
