Since June 2009, the national minimum wage in Türkiye remained fixed at €319 per month, that is 3,828 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Turkish liras, which is the official currency in Türkiye, we can see that, this year, it was 693.4 Turkish liras and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 27.4 Turkish liras per month from the previous year, 4.11%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2009 which was 10.1%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Türkiye is in 24 nd place of the 92 of the list.
