Since June 2007, the national minimum wage in Türkiye remained fixed at €329.1 per month, that is 3,949 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Turkish liras, which is the official currency in Türkiye, we can see that, this year, it was 585 Turkish liras and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 22.5 Turkish liras per month from the previous year, 4%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2007 which was 9.7%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Türkiye is in 22 nd place of the 84 of the list.
