Tunisia rises the national minimum wage

In 2015, the national minimum wage in Tunisia remained fixed at €128 per month, that is 1,536 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Tunisian dinars, which is the official currency in Tunisia, we can see that, this year, it was 289.6 Tunisian dinars and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 12.3 Tunisian dinars per month from the previous year, 4.44%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2014 which was 5%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Tunisia is in 77 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 112 of the list.
