In 2018, the national minimum wage in Paraguay remained fixed at €316.3 per month, that is 3,796 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Guaranies, which is the official currency in Paraguay, we can see that, this year, it was 2,112,562 Guaranies and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 148,055 Guaranies per month from the previous year, 7.54%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2017 which was 4.5%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Paraguay is in 49 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 115 of the list.
