Nigeria repeats minimum wage

In 2012, the national minimum wage in Nigeria remained fixed at €89.1 per month, that is 1,069 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Nairas, which is the official currency in Nigeria, we can see that, this year, it was 18,000 Nairas and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2011 which was 10.3%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Nigeria is in 81 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 102 of the list.
