In 2014, the national minimum wage in Mexico remained fixed at €110.4 per month, that is 1,325 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Mexican pesos, which is the official currency in Mexico, we can see that, this year, it was 1,994.7 Mexican pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 74.8 Mexican pesos per month from the previous year, 3.9%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2013 which was 4%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Mexico is in 77 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 108 of the list.
