In 2018, the national minimum wage in Lebanon remained fixed at €372 per month, that is 4,464 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Lebanese pounds, which is the official currency in Lebanon, we can see that, this year, it was 675,000 Lebanese pounds and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2017 which was 2.2%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Lebanon is in 48 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 115 of the list.
