Lebanon rises the national minimum wage

In 2012, the national minimum wage in Lebanon remained fixed at €344.9 per month, that is 4,139 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Lebanese pounds, which is the official currency in Lebanon, we can see that, this year, it was 675,000 Lebanese pounds and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 175,000 Lebanese pounds per month from the previous year, 35%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2011 which was 3.5%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Lebanon is in 29 nd place of the 102 of the list.
